mbmon software package provides Hardware monitoring without kernel dependencies (text client), you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install mbmon
mbmon is installed in your system.
Make ensure the mbmon package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep mbmon *
You will get with mbmon package name, version, architecture and description in a table
